Somewhere in London, a house of 3 teenagers living together live out their Saturday like any other.
Mark, a responsible and understanding guy, was in the kitchen preparing dinner for his two roommates.
Eris, an artistic and mischievous girl, was watching a TV show while drawing cartoons of three people.
Shade, a straightforward and strong man, was practicing swordplay with a wooden katana.
The three were very different, but friends nonetheless. They have their responsibilities to look after one another. They were like family, no different from the usual.
Mark finished cooking and served the meal on the table and called the others.
Eris rushed down like the energetic lightning bolt she was while Shade calmly walked to the table. They sat down to look at the meal, spaghetti and meatballs.
“Let’s dig in!” Eris yelled enthusiastically.
As they ate, they had their usual talks.
“So what were you drawing Eris? Is it another story?” Mark asked.
“Oh, it’s about us coming across a spell books.” Eris explained.
Shade seemed a bit interested. “Spell books? That sounds neat.”
“Yeah, well…” Eris replied somewhat unsure. “I’m not sure how the story would work out; I mean there are only two books I designed so far.”
“I’m sure it’ll all work out.” Mark assured Eris, making her a bit more confident.
Meanwhile in a land called Equestria, a castle called Canterlot, Princess Celestia was looking into a book. Then Princess Luna steps in the room curious of what’s going on.
“Sister, what are you reading?” Luna asked focused on the strange book.
“I’m not sure…” Celestia answered. “This book is incomplete, yet as I read the blank pages, it starts filling it in with spells…”
“How strange! Where did you find this?”
“It was on my desk, almost as if somepony left it there for me.”
“Can you use the spells inside?”
“I can’t seem to read them… except this one…”
“What does it do?”
“It says “bring forth the heroes””
Luna looked at Celestia questioning the book.
“What do you think… will happen?”
“I don’t know… do you want to find out too?”
Luna looked at Celestia, surprised at her sister to actually use a spell she knows nothing about.
“Don’t worry.” Celestia replied to her sister’s expression. “I’m sure it won’t do any harm to experiment.”
Celestia then used her magic as it flowed around her horn, then soon the magic shot out a light blinding the room.
Back in London, the three friends went out for a walk. As they did, a light shined from their chest.
“What the heck!?” Eris responded.
“Why is there light coming out of my stomach!? Mark, what did you put in that spaghetti!?”
“I don’t have any ingredients that shoot light from your stomach!” Mark rebutted.
The light soon wrapped over the three, and soon they disappeared from London. They were gone from their home.
Back at Canterlot, the sisters could finally look now that the light show has ended and saw a creature on the floor. It was Eris, unconscious from the teleportation. Celestia walked over to her curious of what she had done.
“What is it?” Luna questioned the creature.
“I don’t know, but I don’t think she’s hurt.” Celestia replied.
“How do you know it’s a she?”
“I don’t know, something about her says… a girl.”
Eris awoke and looked up to see the princesses. She was in no delight to see them right near her. She then looked at her hands, which were cartoony like how she drew them, and the coloring matched up with this world. Before the Princesses asked, Eris couldn’t help but scream.
“W-What’s going on!? What am I doing here?!” Eris asked frightened.
“I think you shouldn’t have used that spell” Luna whispered to her sister.
Celestia walked up to Eris to calm her down.
“I apologize for this… event. I was just testing out this spell I was looking into, and…”
Eris widened her eyes and started to pinch herself, thinking if she had enough pain, she would wake up. Alas, it didn’t work, and she held her arm in small pain.
“Wait, wait, wait! This isn’t… a dream!?” Eris panicked. “Why did you bring me here!? What’s going on!?”
Celestia placed her hoof onto Eris’s shoulder saying, “Calm down! It was an accident. I was reading this strange spell book and I saw one spell that I could actually use. So I tried to experiment it to see what would happen and…”
Eris looked at the spell book and realized something.
“This is… my spell book! I made this!”
Celestia was mystified. “You made this book? I have never seen so much magic in one.”
“Quick! Which spell did you use?” Eris asked to Celestia.
“This one, right here.” Celestia showed to Eris the spell.
Eris was quite impressed with the book exactly how she pictured it. She could even read all the pages she thought of so far.
“Um… I need to tell you something…”
“What is it?” Celestia asked.
“This spell… affects three people… my friends and I have been separated for some reason, so I need to tell you that they’re human like me…”
“Human? Yes, I know of that species.”
“And… I also have some confessions to make before we continue…”
“Confessions? Like what? We only met just now; you can’t possibly have any secrets if you came from somewhere far away.”
“Well, I beg to differ… Princess Celestia.”
Meanwhile, Shade awoke from the slumber of teleportation. It was sometime during the night, he was at a town. He walked around a bit to see a horse. However he immediately realized it was a candy colored pegasus. He looked around to see more horses out in the night that were also colorful as well. Some had wings and some had horns. He knew what was going on. He was stuck in that TV show Eris always watches when she thinks the boys aren’t around. Shade knew the first thing he had to do was pinch himself. Of course, that didn’t work, which meant this wasn’t a dream.
“Well then…” He thought. “I guess I should find the others.”
Shade moved on in search of his friends.
